T.I. appeared before a federal magistrate today and entered a guilty plea, on charges of possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of machine guns and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He will not be sentenced to the year in jail until after he completes a portion of his community service.
In the year that he is awaiting sentencing, T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, must complete at least 1,000 hours of a total 1,500 hours of community service, talking to youth groups about the pitfalls of guns, gangs and drugs.

It turns out he’s also getting hit with a 100K fine and will be subject to 3 years of probation, including one year of home detention. Still, better than 30 years in the federal penitentiary.
